The United Nations has designated several International Years for 2025, with key themes including "Cooperatives Build a Better World" for the International Year of Cooperatives and the year will also focus on the importance of Quantum Science and Technology and the need for Glaciers' Preservation.
International Year of Cooperatives :
Theme: "Cooperatives Build a Better World".
Goal: To highlight the vital role of cooperatives in addressing global challenges, achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and fostering inclusive economic growth and community resilience.
International Year of Quantum Science and Technology :
Goal: To promote the understanding of quantum science and technology and their applications.
International Year of Glaciers' Preservation:
Goal: To raise awareness about the importance of glaciers for global climate and freshwater supply and the urgent need for their preservation.
International Year of Peace and Trust :
Goal: To foster peace and trust globally, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the approval of the UN Charter.
